Our Services

Digital strategy

If you are only starting on the journey to develop an "Online School" or a  "Digital Campus", we can help to successfully navigate the minefield of options, alternative delivery models and essential questions.

  • Should our digital provision be In-house or outsourced to a 3rd Party?

  • Do we have the internal capability and capacity bandwidth?

  • Can we partially outsource to a delivery partner?

  • How do we choose a delivery partner or OPM and how do we engage them?

  • How much investment will be required and for how long?

  • How do we select a programme portfolio?

  • How do we determine the correct tuition fee level?

  • How do we design, build and create new digital programmes?

  • How do we tutor and what level of student support do we provide?

  • How do we adopt AI-driven tools?

By finding answers unique to your Institution, we will recommend the best strategy for you.

Squarely putting you on the path to success.

Readiness assessment

Once your strategic direction has been set, it becomes imperative to assess the Institution's readiness to embark on such an ambitious project. It is an essential gateway to the implementation phase.

Although digital delivery starts small, it will affect every department that has a touchpoint with a student, directly or indirectly.

We will work to understand your institution's current workload, its internal technology stack and the ability to integrate externally, its willingness to transform and do new things, evaluating the status of large projects that are already in-flight, time-lining proposed new projects, and overlaying the implementation of digital delivery.

We assess the insitution's key personnel, skills and capabilities required. Where gaps exist, we can guide on the recruitment of new staff or help train existing staff through a knowledge transfer process.

If digital delivery will be in partnership with a delivery provider or OPM, we evaluate the status of existing partnerships and the capacity to on-board a new partnership.

We will present a pre-implementation feasibility document, risk register and high-level project plan that can be presented to the Executive Board as a final gateway to implementation.

Implementation

Whether your digital provision is in-house or with an external partner, we will guide you through a streamlined, successful implementation process. Effectively, we lead on the project through an executive Transformation Director, whether working with your Project Management resource or one of ours.

We provide a Governance and Project Steering group model and work with all stakeholders to agree and adopt a detailed Project Plan. Typically spanning a six- to nine month period, the plan will identify realistic milestones for each of the specialised work streams. These may include:

  • Governance

  • Programme portfolio

  • Learning design

  • Academic content creation and programme build

  • Student system technology (CRM/SIS)

  • Virtual learning environment (VLE or LMS)

  • Marketing

  • Student recruitment

  • Student support services

  • Academic delivery and tutoring

  • Retention and student success coaching

  • Regulatory compliance

Our approach to a well-managed and choreographed implementation phase will ensure that strong foundations are laid for best-in-class student experiences whilst delivering the anticipated return on investments.

Optimisation

Through performance reviews of all service delivery areas and benchmarking against industry gold standards, we provide optimisation recommendations focused on three areas:

  1. Sustainable and profitable digital delivery

  2. Improved student outcomes

  3. Beneficial use of AI-driven tools

We are expert in optimising existing digital provision and innovating towards streamlined models to ensure commercial success and improved student outcomes for our institutional partners. As a starting point, we  provide an audit and performance review of all service areas. If the digital provision is in-house, we deliver direction and guidance towards transformative and innovative internal change.

If it is delivered via a 3rd Party or an OPM partner, we  work towards the adoption of recommended improvements that are aligned to the original contract or project deliverables.

Partner monitoring and forensic audit

We are familiar with the complexities of outsourcing digital provision to a delivery partner of OPM. It requires a collaborative, partnership relationship rather than an Institution-to-Supplier relationship; but this relationships makes it more challenging for the institution to hold them to account for performance aligned to contractual obligations.

We provide on-going contract-to-performance monitoring services and clear, concise reporting to the institution's executive board.

Where required, we perform forensic audits of OPM and digital delivery partners' contractual obligations and map these delivery areas and performance to the reconciliation of income, expenses and the distribution of  revenue or profit.

We make recommendations for the implementation of streamlined reporting, internal checks and balances to ensure that an external audit will not be required in the future.
